The brand Chinese, a subsidiary of the Huawei group, diversified its offer offer a retro Tablet: Honor Pad 2. Also note the output of a connected Watch: Watch S1.
Honor had so far mainly focused on the market of smartphones with some success, especially for the 7 Honor. While Honor 8 was released at the end of August, the Chinese brand continues its momentum with a Tablet and a smartwatch.

With Honor Pad 2, therefore a new product line that wants to exploit the Chinese brand. This tablet has a screen 8 inch resolution 1920 x 1200. It is equipped with a 616 Snapdragon processor and 3 GB RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 and is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera. This is so a retro tablet mid range at a very attractive price as it is marketed around 135 euros (model 16 GB) and 204 euros (model 32 GB) in China. No date is yet scheduled for commercialization in Europe.
The Honor Pad 2 Tablet does not have the high-end market of tablets. It is absolutely not the core target of the brand. Originally, Honor was a range of smartphones launched by the Group Huawei, who then decided to emancipate him and allowed to develop into a full-fledged brand. The aim was to target another market: adolescents and young adults that was rocked from their early age with vintage smartphones offered by INTERNETAGES. Besides, the choice of their muses, Brooklyn Beckham and Wayne Emera, is significant of this orientation.
That’s why the Honor Pad 2 Tablet perfectly fulfills its role. It corresponds to the uses that will make these “native digital”. Operating system allows to support the majority of the games available on Google Play. Need Tablet high range whose price could be deterrent given the core target of the brand.
It is the same policy chosen for the S1 Watch, the first watch connected to Honor, which is marketed in China at around 94 euros.
